One thing I'd like to see back is the list of online users, but just on the front page (rather than on every page as was the case on moving to v2)

Sorry for going a touch off topic, and being Bill if someone has mentioned this before but I'm getting an odd kind of error/undocumented feature.

Using Chrome on Windows 7 and whenever I quote or edit a post, anything inside or between img or url tags disappears from the post.

Whether or not it's relevant, I have the Restyler installed, but I honestly can't remember if it was happening before installing this.

try uninstalling it and seeing if it still happens, there's no reason it should do that though

Wasn't Stylish. Turns out it's the Google Linkification 1.50 extension.

Quoting and editing works fine with that disabled.

Thanks for the suggestion, though.

tbf, losing a few extensions is always the first port of call when something truly weird like this happens.

Tools > Addons > Greasemonkey > Install addon

Actually, don't do that. Install Stylish from the OP. You don't need GM

Actually, sorry Ahmed, couple more question, how do I make it so the style changes only work for the forum (like it was before), its now working on all webpages unlike before

Also the new code has made the font in searh bar larger and each post has gone back to the differnet colour posts

Sorry to keep asking dumb questions :Picard:

What do you mean only in the forum? You want it to affect every page on http://forum.football365.com/ or just the front index page with all the threads?
Which search bar? The built in firefox search bar? The coding shouldn't affect that.

Might be better to delete the current stylesheet and reinstall it fresh from the OP.

If you install stylish, then go to http://userstyles.org/styles/44807/football-365-forum-restyler?r=1299177204 you get a choice of fonts and bold/unbold topics now

BrumSpur..

can you explain to me how the stylechanger works...

I see that a greasemonkey script injects new css into the head section of the html page, but did you already know the element id and class names before that?

They're easy to work out with a bit of digging.

Stylish just overwrites the CSS without modding the source (which the GM script does)

yeah i get that part i think...

so you...do a bit of rummaging and find out element names

then inject your own css using greasemonkey

then that css is available for you (and other users) to edit as they wish....

that about it?

Not sure where to post this really but is anything going to be done about the big bunch of smilies on the left of the posting screen. it's making it very hard to forum :ninja: at work.

could we not take out all the smilies and have it so if you click 'view more smilies' you then get the pop up with them all in? That seems to work ok on other forums with this type of software.

Thanks :toppa:

Last I heard was,"if that's causing you trouble, what about the rest of the images?"

Turn off image loading?

I have the JScript file saved, but for some reason grease monkey says it is corrupt when I try to add it :?

Don't want to clutter by starting a thread to ask this but does anybody know when registration is planned to open up again? Have a few friends keen on joining and the two weeks Admin mentioned above are long passed.

i accidentally updated my style and now all topics are showing as bold, even after i have clicked into them, so it's awkward to see which topic i have looked at. is there a way to amend this?

Greasemonkey is the addon that allows you to add your own scripts.

The userscript for that is outdated.

Use Stylish.

It has options for bold titles or not, and different fonts, you do have to uninstall/reinstall to see them though.

ok, cool. Will I just need to press "Update" in Stylish for the current script or do I need to install fresh?

you need to uninstall from Stylish, then reinstall, use the webpage or you don't get the options.

Yo, great effort, but just one thing: I selected non-bold titles from the installer page, but they are still appearing as bold. Had a go at editting the code but doesn't seem to make any difference...

here is your fix (im guessing you just deleted 'bold' from the code, but it needs to be set to 'normal'.;
Code:
.topictitle { font-family:  Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif ! important;
   font-size: 1.1em ! important;
   font-weight: normal! important;
   color: #005784 !important;
   text-decoration: none !important; }

For whatever reason, the 'topic bold/not bold' option does not work for chrome.
